Job Description:
The Aircraft Maintenance Training Supervisor fulfills Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for aviation, maintenance, and technical education to maintain compliance of Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) 121 certification for UPS Aircraft Maintenance personnel. The ACMX Training Supervisor will assist in maintaining the safe operation of UPS aircraft and dispatch reliability on aircraft systems, avionics, and engines. This position provides technical training to various groups in the airline and to external international vendors (e.g., British Airways, Scandinavian Airlines System [SAS], etc.). The Maintenance Technical Training Supervisor trains and makes repairs for increasing technical knowledge on various aircraft (e.g., B747-400, B757, B767, MD-11, A300, Avionics and Systems, etc.) and ensure greater efficiency and effectiveness in aircraft maintenance. The Maintenance Training Supervisor will develop training programs and materials required to satisfy UPS and FAA needs by setting the foundation of future learning for UPS Air Operations. This position indirectly supervises aircraft Maintenance Technicians and technical aircraft training class participants.
Required Skills:
A current and valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
A valid driver’s license
Must have previous experience teaching in a classroom setting.
Must have previous line maintenance experience on heavy jets.
Boeing 747, 757, 767, MD-11 and/or Airbus A300.
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
Must be able to work various shifts covering 7x24.

Interpersonal Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively and in a concise manner both written and verbal. Use appropriate style, level of detail, grammar and organization of thought in technical writing of specialized or technical documents. Must have a high level of attention to detail. Must have a positive attitude and work well in a team environment. Must be dependable and a self-starter and display initiative in all areas. Must be able to prioritize workload to meet time sensitive deadlines.
Federal Aviation Administration required Drug Testing Information (FAA):
As part of the UPS safety sensitive position, a drug-screen is required. UPS must receive a negative test result before you can be put into a safety sensitive position (14CFR Part 120.107 (a) 4.)
Please be advised that you will be tested in accordance with 14CFR Part 120.17(5) Sub Part E to determine the presence of marijuana, cocaine, opiates (including codeine, heroing-6AM, and morphine), phencyclidine (PVP), and amphetamines/methamphetamines (including MDMA, MDEA, and MDA) or metabolites of these drugs.
