Job Description:

The Student Enhancement and Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for all Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education (JRCoE)  recruiting initiatives of undergraduate and graduate students. This will include designing and producing recruitment materials in collaboration with the JRCoE Director of Communications and Advising Offices; serving as the liaison between the college and external and internal constituents, and assisting with the coordination and hosting of JRCoE recruiting events.  This position will also be responsible for organizing and coordinating student organizations and student ambassadors working collaboratively with faculty sponsors and the dean.

 

Essential Duties:


  • Organize and coordinate JRCoE student organizations.

  • Collaborate with faculty sponsors of student organizations.

  • Design and production of recruitment materials in collaboration with the JRCoE Director of Communications and JRCoE Advising Offices.

  • Work directly with local schools and communities for recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students.

  • Attend JRCoE and OU recruitment events or other events that involve prospective students.

  • Coordinate the JRCoE Ambassadors/Student Advisory to the Dean and engage the Ambassadors in college recruitment efforts and events.

  • Work closely with the Dean and with the Associate Dean for DEI and Community to build relationships with the communities served by the college and with tribal nations.

  • Work closely with the Dean and the Associate Dean for DEI and Community to develop, coordinate, and implement Find Your Future.

Required Education:  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND: 


  • 24 months of experience related to education and recruitment 


Skills:



  • Knowledge of schools and P-12 learning



  • Demonstrate oral and written communication skills



  • Ability to apply organizational and human resource development principles



  • Computer and research skills.


  • Ability to manage a groups of students and work with a variety of people across the college and within communities

  • Process and manage a variety of OU systems and documentation 

  • Travel to and from schools to discuss options and plan

  • Ability to organize events with and for students

Supervision: 


  • Supervise JRCoE students at college and recruitment events
