Job Description:

OnTrac is hiring a PM Operations Manager!

The PM Operations Manager will supervise and coordinate activities of PM workers engaged in facility operations of freight motor transportation company by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Shift Monday-Friday 2pm-11pm

Responsibilities:


  1. Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.

  2. Oversee the facility operations to maintain designated line haul time of arrival, destination, cargo, departure time, and expected arrival time at next destination.

  3. Supervise and coordinate the functions of the PM staff to ensure timely completion of daily activities.

  4. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

  5. Administer appropriate discipline and counseling as necessary to achieve optimal employee performance.

  6. Determine appropriate resolution of employee/customer relation issues.

  7. Prepare multiple business related reports.

  8. Recruit, interview, screen and select personnel.

  9. Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.

Organizational Relationship: 

Consult and coordinate with Facility General Manager and PM Operations Manager and work closely with facility personnel. 

Work Environment: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in warehouse environment.  The noise level is usually moderate.

Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this job:


  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

  • The physical activity associated with this position is considered high. The employee will occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move items averaging 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds. 

  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

Minimum Requirements:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • College degree preferred.

  • Three years lead or supervisor experience; or equivalent combination of both education and specific work experience.

  • Three years of industry experience.

  • Knowledge of branch routes as well as driver and customer base.

  • Math skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

  • Ability to compute and apply concepts to practical situations.
