Job Description:

Position Purpose


Works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician working on electrical and avionic systems maintenance on airframes. Work is checked frequently for accuracy.


Duties & Responsibilities



  • Applies basic technical knowledge and some advanced technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions for disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, fabrication, manufacturing, maintenance, and assembly of aircraft and aircraft electrical/avionic parts, components and wiring.

  • Performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.

  • Works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline, two (2) years of experience in operational positions or related fields may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.

  • Six (6) or more years of experience in avionic preparation, assembly, and fitting of harness and final installations is preferred.

  • Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment.

  • H-53 MH-53/CH-53 (MOS 6323) CDQAR/QAR is highly desired.

  • Must be able to attain and maintain a TSA/Homeland Airport Security Ramp Access Pass
