The Loadshop team at KBX Logistics is growing our brokerage capabilities and we are looking for a Freight Buyer to join us! By strategically quoting and negotiating rates, this role will help grow and strengthen KBX Logistics' brokerage business with current and prospective customers of Loadshop, our digital freight marketplace. A successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication, the ability to collaborate with a diverse audience, and the ability to build lasting and mutually beneficial relationships.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Quote and negotiate prices for transactional brokerage business customers utilizing the Loadshop platform


• Grow business with current customers in alignment with account growth strategy plans and market demand


• Work closely with Account Leads to provide solutions for prospective and current customers


• Understand market trends and how that affects pricing and capacity


• Build and sustain positive relationships with customers, teammates, and carriers


• Collaborate with teammates to analyze data and industry trends to identify opportunities to improve service and/or cost for customers

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience in truckload transportation pricing


• High School Diploma or GED


• Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word to write business correspondence, Excel for use of spreadsheets, reporting and simple formulas, and Outlook for internal and external correspondence

What Will Put You Ahead

• Negotiation experience in a corporate environment


• Experience working in transportation brokerage
