POSITION SUMMARY

The FP&A Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial aspects of planning, forecasting and the reconciliation process across the Smucker portfolio of $400M+ marketing spend and $600M+ of SG&A spend. The Marketing and SG&A team plays an integral role providing visibility, reporting and analysis to support marketing budget and investment decisions across all SBAs and marketing expense types (Media, Digital, Shopper, Coupons, etc.)

Partnering with the cross-functional teams including SBA Finance, Brand Marketing, Marketing Operations, Innovation, ICX, Insights and cost center managers to ensure compliance, budget management and accuracy will be key areas of responsibility. Flexibility and agility with new systems, training, supporting change management and implementation of new processes will be critical aspects of the role. This role represents an excellent opportunity for financial leadership and capability development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support plan and forecasting process for marketing and cost center spend.


• Support marketing as they accurately forecast spend and link POs/invoices to The MAP. Support marketing as they allocate expenses across multiple brands and customers based on volume or spend.


• Provide visibility and consolidated reporting (Program and Shopper Marketing) of budgets, spend and variance analysis. Streamline reporting and leverage Spotfire to optimize the consolidation and reporting of multiple data sources


• Partner with marketing teams to execute transfers, cover overspent contracts, cut spend and scrub remaining liability.


• Support training and change management of our new marketing system, The MAP.


• Communicate clearly and build strong lasting relationships with team and cross-functional partners


• This role is part of the finance rotation program

SELECTION CRITERIA

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required

Experience

• minimum of 3 years of financial analysis experience is required


• Budgeting and forecasting experience is preferred


• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

Other

• Experience with purchase orders and invoicing is preferred


• Proficiency in Microsoft MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required


• Familiar with GAAP accounting is a plus


• Knowledge of business processes is a plus
