Agilent is seeking a Support Manager to join the Global Informatics Support Team (GIST) for Agilent's Life Sciences and Applied Markets Group (LSAG) Software and Informatics Division (SID).


This is a manager position to lead the GIST team for the Americas (North and South America). The team supports OpenLab software for managing laboratory instrumentation, electronic content management, and business process workflows. Our products provide automation of the entire lab, from data generation through analysis and reports.


The role will include:




  • Lead the Informatics team of Application Engineers within the Global Informatics Support Team in the Americas. Reports to the Director of GIST and ODS (On Demand Solutions) for North and South America.

  • Provide management direction for Agilent front-line services and support teams in working with customers to install, fix and solve technical issues with informatics software including database, networking, and chromatography questions.

  • Coordinate support work across the Americas with the various time zones and customer needs, ensure that support tickets are addressed and closed within stated service level agreements.

  • Lead product critical issues during heightened situations. This involves working with Agilent internal teams (Marketing, Sales, R&D) to deliver the best solution to the customer.

  • Work and coordinate with Agilent field Services teams to help implement informatics solutions at customer sites and to help those customers become productive users of the software.

  • Detailing both Agilent internal and customer facing technical solutions to facilitate better communication of our software workflows to our customers and the Agilent field.

  • Working directly on new development projects that continue to increase Agilent's informatics software ease of use and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborating with our customer's IT departments on standard methodologies, supported configurations and virtualization technologies, etc.

  • Remote job, does not need to be at an Agilent office location.

  • Meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by customer/vendor and may include, but are not limited to: post-employment background checks, various forms of drug testing, vaccinations, fingerprinting, proof of valid identification, and/or adherence to customer-specific substance abuse programs. This position is designated for Colorado Springs, CO.


The salary for this role is min. 93,760k to max 146,500k annually.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree or University Degree or equivalent plus directly relevant experience as a manager, supervisor and/or individual contributor.

  • Requires demonstrable skills in leading/running the execution of processes, projects and tactics.

  • 8+ years' experience within laboratory environments - (e.g., GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11)

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Self-management and sound decision-making skills are vital to the role

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Agilent OLCDS portfolio (OpenLab CDS, ChemStation, EZChrom and ECM) and reporting modules (OLIR)

  • Experience with cloud deployments such as Google, AWS and Azure
