Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an Associate Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our Tactical Space Division's Global Supply Chain team. This role is a great opportunity for those who want to grow their career in Supply Chain.
This position is located in Dulles, VA.
Job Duties:

  • Understand and work across the breadth of the supply chain management scope (including materials management, procurement, subcontracts, material finance, and supplier relationship management)
  • Define and develops material strategy. Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.
  • Communicate with buyers and technical personnel: determine solutions and communicate the best course of action on issues that may impact purchase order executions
  • Analyze purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools. Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.
  • Participates in make/buy process, long term capacity and resource planning; familiarity with product space level screening and testing requirements.
  • Oversee Electronic Program Procurement Authorizations: ensure accuracy and approvals are obtained to allow for purchase orders to be placed in a timely manner.





Qualifications:




Basic Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in business management, supply chain, finance or closely related field
  • Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system
  • MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience (internship or otherwise) in supply chain, planning, material control, or inventory management
  • Aerospace experience
