Project / Business Management - Vice President

This VP-level Business Manager role will report to and support the Product Owner of the Branch Operations Agile Product within the Consumer Bank's Chef Administrative Office. The product seeks to make servicing fast and simple for customers and branch employees by simplifying journeys, better integrating other channels into the branch, and empowering customers outside the branch.

This role will support the Product Owner in oversight of the product including: Executive Leadership presentations, tracking key activities/deliverables/status, reporting OKRs and other metrics, and managing projects to improve and simplify the Product. It is an exceptional opportunity to learn and gain invaluable institutional, operational, and strategic experience in an agile environment. This is a critical time in the consumer banking industry, as it is undergoing rapid change sparked by technology innovation and the quickly evolving demands of consumers.

The objectives of this role are to:


  • Support the Branch Operations Product within the Consumer Bank; will work closely with the General Manager, Product Owner, Area Product Owners and Tech Partner to convey the progress of the Product and identify areas for opportunity
  • Provide planning and execution support to the Product Owner on key priorities and business activities
  • Build relationships across various stakeholders to enable the Product to achieve its objectives and to ensure initiatives are executed as planned in a properly controlled manner
  • Execute multiple, often quick-turnaround small to large projects with minimal outside assistance
  • Develop content for executive presentations, quarterly business reviews, CEO updates
  • Prepare executive reports, presentations, and communications to a variety of audiences and constituents including Senior Management
  • Drive, manage, and support development of materials for weekly team meetings and key Product level meetings
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and a commitment to acquiring new knowledge and skills; seek to continuously improve standards of work, address opportunities for development
  • Demonstrate team spirit and strong collaboration skills across functions and LOBs

The role requires excellent communication skills, flexibility and comfort with ambiguity and a rapid pace of change, detail orientation, and strong collaboration and easy navigation with various businesses and functional areas across Consumer Banking.

Qualifications:


  • Degree required : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required (advanced degrees, other certification a plus)

  • Work experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of project management experience, with proven track record of delivering results on major projects / programs. Experience in Retail Branch/Consumer Banking, Agile / application development, Controls, Risk Management, or other related experience preferred

  • Problem solving skills: The candidate must have the ability to identify key issues, gather and analyze data to support hypotheses, and develop actionable recommendations. The candidate must demonstrate both deductive and inductive reasoning abilities
  • Analytical skills: Analytical with experience in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data from multiple sources using MS Excel.
  • Client management & teamwork skills : The candidate must have demonstrated ability in being flexible and working with stakeholders and colleagues at all experience levels
  • Project management skills : Proven ability to frame projects and establish required governance to move projects forward.
  • Communications skills : The candidate must be able to concisely and comprehensively explain analytics using MS Excel and PowerPoint. The candidate must possess strong written and oral executive-level communications skills, including the ability to quickly adjust messages and style based on different audiences and agendas
  • Entrepreneurial spirit : Demonstrated track record of being a self-starter that seeks to break the status quo and initiate change
