The Consumer & Community Banking ("CCB") Regulatory Relations group at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for managing and facilitating regulatory supervisory activity for the CCB Line of Business (LOB). We're seeking an Associate Compliance Officer to support and participate in regulatory interactions between CCB LOBs and various federal regulators.

The team sits within the Regulatory Strategy group within Compliance which offers great visibility into how JPMorgan Chase operates and the opportunity to interact with regulators, CCB senior management and subject matter experts across the bank and whole firm.

In addition, over time, the Associate will have the opportunity to work on regulatory engagements outside of the CCB LOB. Being part of the Regulatory Strategy team will allow the Associate to broaden their horizons and be exposed to firmwide Regulatory interactions.

Responsibilities:


  • Execute the end-to-end supervisory process for CCB regulatory engagements, including reviewing and coordinating firm responses to examination requests, advising internal stakeholders, and reviewing and obtaining approval for regulatory submissions;
  • Support exam managers on exams and continuous supervision activities, including tracking supervisory-related communications and activities;
  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with internal stakeholders and regulators.
  • Prepare CCB LOB personnel for regulatory interactions;
  • Prepare and deliver information requested by regulators in accordance with firm and regulator protocols;
  • Conduct meetings involving CCB LOB personnel and regulators;
  • Provide timely and appropriate supervision-related reporting within Compliance and to stakeholders;

Qualifications


  • The ideal candidate has two or more years' experience at a large financial institution or law firm performing legal or supervisory regulatory affairs / exam management functions.
  • The role requires highly-motivated, well-organized self-starters with exceptional judgment and strong analytical, advisory, communication, and project management skills.
  • An understanding of consumer financial products and financial services compliance is preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor's or similar degree from a top-tier institution;
  • Strong team player willing to work closely with multiple teams and LOBs;
  • Ability to anticipate and understand complex regulator and stakeholder requirements and react productively to their requirements;
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams with varied stakeholders simultaneously in an organized manner
  • Possess excellent written and oral executive-level communications skills and demonstrable skill to tailor complex regulatory issues into effective messages for a broad range of audiences;
  • Ability and confidence to engage all corporate title levels and across different disciplines and escalate issues to management whenever appropriate;
  • Maintain sound judgement under pressure when faced with imperfect information;
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Word, and other Office applications.
