Micro Focus knows archiving. We are the true experts when it comes to compliance archiving solutions that perform at scale for many of the world's leading financial and technology companies. We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to join our Digital Safe Managed Services team.

About the Role:

The Software Development Engineer is responsible for developing software solutions using variety of coding languages and platforms. We work closely with our internal product teams in support of professional services related to the industry leading Digital Safe suite of products. As a solutions expert, the Software Development Engineer works together with project managers, system engineers, and operations teams to solve complex issues on behalf of our clients. We deal with large scale data extractions and migrations and the challenges that come along with them.

The Software Development Engineer will:

• Develop robust and scalable solutions that extract data from various applications in preparation for archiving.


• Modernize legacy solutions by taking advantage of industry best practices such as container-based architecture


• Assist customers in automating workflows using product API sets


• Extend product APIs for custom reporting, analytics, and metrics


• Develop dashboards and visualizations, using DevOps and Automation


• Participate in the culture of continual service improvements and work with other departments within the organization to meet company and team goals

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Service Management, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.


• At least 3-5 years of industry experience

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Java and scripting languages such as Perl and/or Pyton


• Developing on Linux systems


• Developing on relational databases (MySql, Postgres)


• Desired experience developing applications with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)


• Experience with Index technologies, working with large data sets such as Elasticsearch
