The Opportunity
The Senior Product Marketing Manager will lead positioning, messaging and strategic go to market activities for the API and data management offering within OpenText Business Network. The individual will have responsibility for leading product launches, sales enablement activities, identifying market opportunities, and supporting global marketing campaign efforts - You will collaborate in building GTM strategy with product, marketing, sales and own campaigns plan with content and creative teams. You will mentor and motivate Campaign Marketing Managers and leverage your expertise to influences product and business development decisions. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to make sure we are building the right products and to drive growth of OpenText Business Network solutions within our enterprise target market.
You Are Great At
Leading in depth analysis of the market and competitive landscape - technology trends, ecosystem developments, and competitive offerings.
Analysingand size market opportunities and drive product and marketing strategies to capitalize on those opportunities
Serveas a knowledge expert between cross functional teams, building an understanding of target audience needs and purchase decision process
Champion the strategy for generating sales pipeline to propel prospects through awareness, consideration, decision, retention and advocacy
Articulate positioning, implement and present messaging through all internal and external communication channels, includingSales force training, partner communication, communication to analysts and press, presence at conferences, trade shows, and industry events
Coordinate and lead marketing and lead generation campaigns, working with regional Field Marketing to execute on and track success of the campaigns and related assets. Create and refine key marketing assets.
Drive media and analyst relations strategy for product line and take lead role in briefing analysts on solutions and strategic directions.
Sales training and enablement, including being a subject matter expert for direct customer engagements as needed.
Content development for demand generation:
Execute product launches including developing complete marketing 'bill of material' for your product portfolio: Sales pitch deck, collateral, web content, email templates, case studies, etc.
Create high-value gated marketing assets to support lead generation activities (white papers, studies, etc.)
Lead the development of content campaigns and sales collateral
Collaborate with demand gen team utilizing data and insights to create and improve strategies that drive traffic to our content and optimize marketing funnels
Define and plan marketing campaigns and other growth initiatives with your Campaign Manager to drive end-to-end spanning all marketing channels including email, social and digital advertising
Ensure that all content is in line with both OpenText's brand and overall marketing goals
Provide thought leadership and ongoing social media and communication both external and internal to OpenText
Product development influence:
Combine your understanding of the competition and ecosystem with an understanding of our portfolio, to influence platform, product, and services roadmap and business development decisions
Work closely with product management, sales, partnerships and customer service teams to bring new products/features to market
Demonstrate skill at preparing business cases and gaining cross-functional alignment in order to help build and grow new products / services
Define go to market strategy for solution set - how to maintain and grow the business.
Work closely with Product Management to define and shape a market-driven roadmap
Lead and mentor product marketing:
Guide and develop Campaign Manager and Sales Enablement in their contribution and execution of product marketing to grow their skills and experience
Influence and motivate team members and internal stakeholders to take action and work effectively together to deliver business growth
What It Takes
5-7 years of related product marketing experience, ideally 5+ years of ecommerce, B2B software marketing experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant API, integration, and/or data management experience, ideally gained through an existing vendor
Direct experience in API driven economy is a big asset
Extensive knowledge of product marketing fundamentals
Experience in developing messaging, product positioning, content and journey mapping, and measurement
