As a(n) Specialist Software Architect, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Working with Product Owners and customers to translate business strategies and requirements into solutions that meet the primary business needs.


• Designing, developing, implementing, and testing microservices for a large scale enterprise healthcare application. 


• Coordinating and communicating with partners, clinical specialists, and NLP researchers to implement solutions.


• Designing solutions that meet are secure, perform well, scale, and that are cost efficient.


• Developing technical specifications and diagrams.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of fourteen (14+) years of experience in Software Engineering in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement.


• Five (5) years experience in full Software Development Lifecycle of new feature development for a commercial software product.


• Experience as a software architecture, which includes receiving business requirements and designing a new solution including technical specifications.


• Experience with Object Oriented Programming and Web Services.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience in Health Care Industry


• Prior experience in data integration


• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)


• Experience in Relational Databases


• Experience in NoSQL Databases


• Familiarity with Spring Boot or the Spring framework

Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location: REMOTE US
