The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a senior software engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Designing and developing the next generation, cutting-edge software for the healthcare providers, targeted at reducing physician burnout, and increasing physician patient engagement using Ambient Technology and AI


• Implementing solutions meant to improve the quality of clinical documentation


• Working hand-in-hand with the customers


• Participating in activities relating to the improvement of the software development process


• Present your work during technical workshops

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a software engineer in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree education requirement


• Three (3) years of experience with one (1) or more modern programming languages (Java, C#, JavaScript, Go, Python), object-oriented programing concepts and design patterns

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Have worked with enterprise software


• Have experience with web application frameworks and databases


• Have experience with cloud technologies (AWS, k8s, docker)


• Strong analytical skills


• Strong communications and presentation skills

Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
