As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Using your software development skills to develop high scale, secure, and resilient products and services


• Innovating with the latest technologies and cloud ecosystems


• Being an active member of a scrum team by participating in all phases of SDLC, including design, development, and code reviews


• Delivering and deploying our products and services to environments around the world


• Helping to resolve escalated customer support issues


• Complying with corporate policies and procedures while acting in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)  from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in software development in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree education requirement


• Three (3) years’ experience of full-stack software development using C#, Python or Java (Java preferred)


• Three (3) years’ experience with web services and cloud deployments using JSON, REST, AWS, etc.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline


• Minimum of three {3) years’ experience developing web-based applications using front-end technologies (HTML5, Angular, JavaScript)


• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with SQL-based databases


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Demonstrated track record of delivering high-visibility projects on a tight timeline


• Experience with web application security


• Health Information Systems experience


• Experience working in an Agile environment with strong test automation and continuous deployment


• Strong experience with cloud architectures and large-scale hosted applications


• Ability to easily switch between multiple programming languages

Travel: Occasional travel may be required
