JOB SUMMARY

Actively supporting Supply Chain and Production in the control of raw materials, WIP, and Finished Goods inventory, and in transportation of Goods to and from Customers/Providers.

Must also support Production in occasionally performing the duties of Material Handlers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop, plan, coordinate, and monitor shipping schedule to meet customer and capacity demand.


  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor shipments of returnable packaging to support manufacturing capacity planning.


  • Input data manually into specific ERP, carrier or logistics systems in order to successfully transport materials/dunnage to and from customers/providers, including off-site warehouses.


  • Become site SME for shipping processes and provide training across material handling group.


  • Ensure that all necessary documentation for the transport of materials is accurate.


  • Prepare Bills of Lading, invoices, manifests, Shipper’s Export Declarations (SEDs) and other documentation.


  • Interact with Production areas in order to ensure that shipping commitments are executed on time.


  • Interact with transportation providers in order to ship products.


  • Tracks shipments to and from site.


  • Complete daily receipts against purchase orders in ERP system to include proper control cycle for raw materials.


  • Support Material Handlers in physical and ERP system movement of material between locations.


  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly Cycle counts of any area, to include identification and resolution of any discrepancies.


  • Monitor material consumption errors in ERP and communicate for resolution.


  • Load / unload shipments as necessary via forklift or pallet jack to support manufacturing and maintain shipment schedules.


  • Occasionally perform the duties of Material Handler on day or night shift, as needed to support Production.


  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.


  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS


  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.


  • Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.


  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.


  • Ability to write simple correspondence.  Read and understand visual aids.


  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 


  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. 


  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


  • Ability to operate forklift.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • High School diploma or equivalent required.


  • A good materials and manufacturing process knowledge.


  • Be computer literate.


  • Good knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system.


  • A high attention to detail.


  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience


WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Normally regular business hours from Thursday to Sunday. Occasional day or night shift schedule to support Material Handling.


  • Combination of office environment and manufacturing / warehouse environment.
