Maintenance Mechanic - 1st shift

YOUR ROLE

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain various pumps, motors, fans and other chemical processing equipment as necessary with minimal downtime.
• Operate forklift and hoist to transport materials.
• Work from ladders, scaffolding and man-lifts up to a height of 50 feet.
• Assist in planning various plant projects.
• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment system.
• Maintain work area in a neat, clean and organized manner.
• Follow 5S standard of housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and programs

YOUR SKILLS

• Minimum five (5) years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or GED
• Self-starter who requires little direct supervision.
• Experience with manufacturing/packaging equipment (mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors) in a chemical processing environment.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Must have good mechanical and basic industrial electrical knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be willing to work overtime and off shift.
• Safe work record.
• Industrial electrical/electronics experience a plus.
• Welding skills/certification a plus
