Description/Job Summary



RHD property must be maintained in a safe, clean and functional manner at all times. At a minimum, property conditions must always satisfy quality levels established by RHD and those expected by our funders. Multiple levels of management are expected to review and respond to property- related issues that impact the safety and quality of our programs. The Construction Manager provides management and oversight of large and/or specialized repair and renovation projects. The Construction Manager is also the property manager for the Health Center Division.

Essential Duties and Functions


  • Provides managerial oversight and project management of all large capital construction projects and renovations.

  • Manages CDBG, HOME, ESG, and Affordable Housing Trust Fund Grants, as needed.

  • Plans and coordinates with RHD Division EVP and DFO and/or their designee(s) to identify general maintenance, repairs and capital building improvements.

  • Provides managerial oversight and project management of routine property inspections to ensure health and safety of residents and employees and to determine needed repairs or renovations (i.e., annual, pre-licensing, etc.).

  • Maintains records and budgets for repairs and renovations of corporate-owned and leasehold properties, where RHD is responsible for all repairs and/or renovations.

  • Provides managerial oversight and project management of new property selection, acquisition, start-up renovations (as needed), moves, closures, and/or sale.

Responsibilities/Duties



The Construction Manager provides management and oversight of large and/or specialized repair and renovation projects.


Required Experience



A minimum 5-7 years' experience in Residential and Commercial Construction and property management.

Required Education



HS Diploma/GED

Required Qualifications




  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


  • Solid grasp of building compliance and safety regulations


  • Knowledge of the best practices
