We are looking for a talented and versatile Safety Specialist in our North Western Region (the ideal candidate would be located in the Sacramento, CA area). The Safety Specialist provides support to the field safety business with the 1:1 relationship with Area, Branch, VIP Leaders, Field Teams and Clients. They help drive a Safety Culture throughout the organization, helping to secure new clients and retain existing clients by doing things such as safety assessments of work worksites, safety and process training, incident investigation, branch audits and action plans to improve workplace safety

Essential Job Functions:
Accountable for driving the Safety Culture within their assigned area, ensuring branch and large accounts teams are aware of and are adopting EB's safety prevention programs. * Conduct internal colleague training (at the Branch and SPM level). * Provide added-value services to our clients through Mock OSHA Audits. * Support client-specific requests as determined by Safety Leadership: conduct training, launch new programs, attend meetings, support business development (retention and new client acquisition) virtually or in person. * Conduct accident investigations, focusing on root cause analysis and providing recommended solutions and actions. * Collaborate and work with the risk, underwriting workers' comp claims teams. * Conduct branch audits for safety compliance. * Assess client work sites for safety. * Client Site Evaluation follow-up visits and assessment of safety level. * Review safety data on a monthly basis for assigned area; identify D& F clients, trends, gaps and opportunities for improvement and create action plans to retain clients and ensure associate safety. * Ensure Safety Observations are being completed by the field within the assigned area on a regular basis. Drive the process and collaborate with the field on issues that were identified during the Safety Observations. Create action plans and ensure execution in a timely manner. * Responsible for providing Safety Consultant within the assigned region a monthly update on all safety activities and action plans, complaints or potential concerns identified within a branch or a client. * Act as a resource to branches and clients by providing professional safety guidance with the objective of adding value to the organization, through standardization. * Accountable for driving the Safety Culture within their assigned area, ensuring branch and large accounts teams are aware of and are adopting EB's safety prevention programs. * Develop and execute health and safety programs and services as it pertains to supporting EB's Clients across multiple industries through collaboration with the Safety Training Specialist. * Support and nurture new and existing client relationships throughout the life cycle of the client. This is accomplished through assisting in the sales process, providing ongoing visibility to best practices and value-added safety services. * Provides proactive safety support to the business with the 1:1 relationship with Area Leadership and Branch teams, as well as to our prospects and clients. * Respond to OSHA requests in conjunction with Safety Consultants as needed. Act as a liaison during OSHA informal conferences and inspections. * Identify client-specific training needs and sharing the need with the Safety Services Leader. * Maintain knowledge and understanding of current state and federal safety regulations including NIOSH and OSHA, work with internal and external legal partners, and stay current with updates from the supply chain industry that impact health and safety. * Participate in professional safety networking groups. Identify, document and share best practices through the Centralized Ops Team. * Act as a resource to assigned regions/markets and may be deployed nation-wide based on client needs and prioritization as determined by Safety Leadership
Your attributes:
Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required.
Ability to travel 50%
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in health and safety roles.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
Experience conducting mock OSHA audits, branch audits and accident investigations.
Experience facilitating training.
Experience using analytics to create client-specific solutions and recommendations.
Experience working cross-functionally and establishing and maintaining high integrity
Collaborative and Proactive Approach to Problem Solving - Ability to raise issues and concerns in a cross-functional environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, associates and field teams.
Proven presentation skills in front of large groups as well as virtually.
Flexible and solution-oriented with a proven ability to continuously adapt, learn and adjust recommendations based on a client's request.
Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
Growth mindset to add value in the sales process and retain and expand existing clients.
Drive for Results -- ability to work independently and execute action plans.
Membership and active participation in local safety chapters (ASSP, NSC, etc.)
The ability and willingness to travel frequently both by air and car including overnight
The ability to be flexible in work schedule as it may vary depending upon client and associate demand.
Must have a valid drivers' license and meet EB driving and background requirements.
