Were looking for a creative, motivated, and passionate Junior Art Director to join the Creative Services Team in our Winston-Salem, NC headquarters. This is a hybrid position that may require onsite work. Candidates willing & able to commute into Winston-Salem and/or Raleigh, NC or our NYC Design Hub are encouraged to apply.

In this role, youll be responsible for:


  • Partnering with senior graphic designers to create artwork for digital campaigns that are visually appealing, simple to navigate, consistent, and maintain a seamless user experience across platforms;

  • Conceptualizing and executing design projects through to production; and

  • Compiling photography briefs, styling, assortments, props, and contact sheets for lifestyle content across multiple fashion brands, each with their own unique design aesthetic.

OVERVIEW

This key role blends commercial awareness, creativity, and an analytical eye, and works collaboratively with multiple teams across the business. Alongside the Creative Director, you will be the gatekeeper of our Brands tone of voice and imagery aesthetic. Youll work with and help direct talented designers to create and curate compelling, visually appealing content thats simple to navigate, consistent, and delivers a seamless user experience across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is able to create and present creative concepts to Senior Executives with the ability to articulate vision from both a creative and commercial perspective. This role also supports production mechanicals for packaging, catalogs, iconography, and content creation in support of our HotSox, K.Bell and Loops & Wales eCommerce sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Conceptualize, execute, and design projects through to production

  • Work across multiple fashion brands, each with their own unique design aesthetic

  • Pull together photography briefs, styling, assortments, props and contact sheets for lifestyle content, with direction from the brand and creative leadership

  • Able to create and present creative concepts to Senior Executives with the ability to articulate from both a creative and commercial perspective

  • Work with the creative director to conceptualize seasonal and monthly direction of brand imagery

  • Ensures brands are industry-leading and constantly innovating their approach to create emotional and elevated product photography

  • Research and gather inspiration, and stay abreast of competitors, new methods and trends applicable to the brand identity; develop original and creative ways to continually evolve brand imagery

  • Work alongside the social media and content manager by supporting with the narrative and art direction for the Social teams content creation across Instagram and TikTok

  • Develop annual, seasonal and monthly marketing imagery strategies from initial concept, goals and objectives, creative briefs, through to timelines, budget, and execution

  • Ensure brand voice and point of view is curated and consistently maintained across all channels in copy, imagery, and subject matter

  • Execute the creative process of brand partnership marketing to develop creative ideas in support of external brand launches and campaigns

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelors degree in graphic design

  • 1-3 years of related professional experience, including experience in both branding and web design*

  • Knowledge of current web design, development tools and techniques

  • Command of the Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

  • A highly creative and conceptual mind

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines

  • Strong graphic, typography, and branding skills

  • An understanding on how to bring editorial story telling imagery to life across all channels including social

  • Ongoing curiosity about emerging technologies, best practices, and aesthetic trends

  • Hyper-efficientmakes bold choices and executes them quickly, pays obsessive attention to detail, and maintains organized asset libraries while managing multiple projects

  • Enjoys collaborating, learning, and receiving feedback

  • Ability to recognize and respond to current design, fashion and cultural trends

  • Ability to manage and delegate all facets of multiple projects, schedules and budgets from concept through execution

  • Excellent interpersonal, management and presentation skills with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely

  • Multitask on several projects and work with tight schedules from concept through to delivery

  • Strong fashion art direction and is confident in developing imagery for editorial marketing and social media channels

  • An ability to apply a strategic approach to brand imagery and use it as a positioning tool to elevate and differentiate
