The Senior Manager of Logistics Excellence will work to improve current processes, eliminate redundancies, improve finish good and raw material flow, productivity, quality, and safety. This position is responsible for developing Logistics Excellence as an operating model that aligns people, process, and systems to industry best practices in order to drive exceptional service at a lower cost to serve. The Sr. Manager of Logistics Excellence will perform analysis, develop solutions, and assist with key projects, train, audit, and measure results. This role works closely with site leaders in driving Logistics Excellence across the enterprise to ensure products are available to customers whenever and wherever they need them
Responsibilities
Integrate and sustain Logistics Excellence across the enterprise.
Develop processes and systems to support Logistics Excellence and standardization.
Utilize continuous improvement methodologies; such as, A4, 5S, Kaizen events, and Lean/Six Sigma principles in support of Logistics Excellence.
Implement best practices in logistics and ensure cross-functional alignment and accountability.
Develop and share best practice documentation, tools, and key learning across the organization using SharePoint/intranet site, Logistics Excellence Champions, and Town Hall meetings.
Supports the project portfolio for logistics by tracking milestones, CIP savings, PPV savings, CAPEX projects, and ROI commitments.
Ensure projects, work streams, processes, and programs are aligned to the logistics strategy.
Leads logistics ideation and track site level roadmaps.
Develop and maintain global logistics reporting standard (balance score card, KPIs, and other key metrics) and compare performance to industry bench-marks.
Analyze and interpret trends and patters in complex data sets utilizing data extracted from SAP to provide business recommendations that supports the transformation of the logistics function.
Drive daily, weekly, and monthly performance review meetings based on the metrics and KPIs that measure the success of the logistics function.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering or related field and 8-12 years of business experience.
Leadership experience including a demonstrated ability to coach and mentor at all levels of the organization to influence and drive collaboration across teams, functions with minimal supervision.
8+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and/or Operations.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Experience in Medical Device or Healthcare industry's Quality Management System.
Experience in cGMP environments and working knowledge of regulations/ auditing bodies: ISO, FDA, HIPPA, OSHA, Hazardous Materials/DG, C-TPAT, and TSA-CCSP.
Experience in the following systems/technologies: SAP, Voice Technology, Warehouse Management System, SharePoint, BI reporting tools, etc.
