Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Philadelphia Operations Organization is looking for a Site Manager to serve as the site and program facing lead supporting projects in our Philadelphia, PA facility.
The Site Manager duties and responsibilities include:

  • Management of all site activities, facilities, safety, procedures and budgets
  • Direct functional manager of Operations Program Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, Test Engineers, Production Control, and Security for the site
  • Matrix/indirect management of Quality and Supply Chain personnel as part of Operations
  • Trained and can function as a cost account manager (CAM) and utilize earned value management (EVM) principles
  • Execute both production and development programs
  • Provide labor and material proposal inputs and serve as the Operations proposal lead
  • Develop production schedules and contribute to the program Integrated Master Schedule
  • Manage operations across all programs at the site
  • Contribute to the development of manufacturing and production test procedures and processes
  • Conduct presentations for Northrop Grumman upper management and customers
  • Lead production and test readiness reviews
Ideally the Site Manager will have a technical background in a hardware engineering discipline; electrical/mechanical manufacturing experience; solid organizational skills; an ability to lead program teams to achieve program milestones and delivery objectives; program planning and scheduling skills; solid communication skills; and familiarity with earned value management.
Knowledge of welding, machining and mechanical/electrical assembly is desired but not required. The ideal candidate will have a background in operations, program and functional management, and the unique product lines and manufacturing processes that we support.

Qualifications:




Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing programs and people in a Manufacturing and/or Integration and Test environment
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), which includes managing projects to cost, performance and schedule requirements
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical background in a hardware engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated knowledge in both electrical and mechanical manufacturing and test in a production and development environment
  • Experience in program planning and scheduling
  • Trained in Cost Account Management
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning
  • Familiarity with SAP, technical proposal writing, and cost estimating
  • Knowledge of integration, assembly, welding, inspection, and test of large, complex mechanical assmblies
  • A background in marine systems and the unique product lines and manufacturing processes that support such systems
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance
