Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking aStaff Systems Engineer to join the Command and Launch Team. This position will be located in Roy, UT and support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. The selected engineer will work with the architecture, systems engineering, and test teams to develop a cohesive model-based architecture supporting the total system lifecycle, participate in technical reviews, and provide customer support. Responsibilities may include any or all of the following:
Provide systems engineering, integration, and test support
Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications
Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems
Perform requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements specifications, generate test requirements and prepare test reports
Verify specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis
Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including design, drawings, fabrication, test, installation, operation and maintenance
Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
Interface with AF customer

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline from an ABET-accredited university with 14 years experience; 12 Years with masters; 9 years with PhD • Active DoD Secret clearance updated within the last 5 years • Proven innovation strengths and strategic value creation • Demonstrated performance, people leadership and customer intimacy • Strong understanding of entire product lifecycle, modeling and engineering best practices • Understanding of process/procedure development, control and improvement for test conduct and planning • Strong communication skills including technical writing and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Top Secret clearance updated within the last 5 years • Knowledge/experience with AF Test Directive 99-103 • Knowledge/experience with DOORS, Cameo and/or Rhapsody • Experience with ICBMs (MM, PK, Small Missile) • Experience with requirements derivation and allocation • MBSE experience • Experience with System Safety
