The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Interface Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Being the expert in our functionality and specifications, often serving in both consultative and technical roles to lead the client through our interface implementation processes


• Performing implementation and configuration of the interface engines deployed to integrate 3M products with our client’s systems.


• Implementing technical solutions for 3M clients and delivering them in a fast-paced environment with short timelines.


• Analyzing data and configurations for information extraction and technical issue resolution.


• Understanding and working with diverse data feeds such as HL7, unstructured text documents, CSV, and XML.


• Collaborating with clients and 3M internal team members to meet deadlines and maintain the highest level of quality and security while delivering our client’s specific implementation needs.


• Keeping up to date with all new features, functions, business issues and implementation options. And contributing to the evolutionary growth of implementation infrastructure by developing and/or updating material, tools and programs.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree education requirement


• Five (5) years of experience working with HL7 interfaces

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Must be self-starter with strong written/verbal communication skills and strong organizational & documentation skills.


• Must be capable of maintaining superior customer relations in a fast-paced environment.


• Must consistently maintain a high degree of positive motivation and display independent ownership of assigned responsibilities without the need for close supervision


• Must have the ability to assertively plan, organize, and follow up while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.


• Must have experience in implementation and training for HL7 interface related products and processes.


• Familiarity with cloud architecture like Amazon Web Services (AWS).


• Working knowledge of SQL, Windows and network environments.

Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location: Silver Spring, MD or Remote

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
