The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Product Owner - 360E Direct to Bill, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Providing autonomous coding solutions that satisfy our brand promise of complete, compliant, and accurate coding, meeting growing customer demand for greater productivity and maintaining our leadership in the market.

  • Working with the Chief Product Owner and other Product Owners contributing to the 360E Coding Automation roadmap to coordinate and deliver the highest priority business value for your product focus area with objective to realize improvements using expedited workflows and direct to bill functionality

  • Guiding a Scrum Delivery Team on the efficient execution of that backlog, for your product focus area and ensuring the features and functionality, produced by the team, fully meet the original requirements, as well as quality standards

  • Creating a collaborative and integrated atmosphere, across multiple departments (Client Support, New Product Adoption, Technical Communications, Training, Marketing, etc.) to build, test, deploy, and support features in your product focus area

  • Participating in activities to collect “voice of customer” from both external customers and internal stakeholders

  • Preparing release content and/or training materials for external communications to clients and internal customers concerning application release changes, new features and known product issues

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in the healthcare IT industry, in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree education requirement

  • Seven (7) years of healthcare software industry experience

  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • 3M 360 Encompass knowledge, with a focus on the HIM Facility and Professional Coding Workflows, including Computer Assisted Coding, Interfaces, Worklists and Reporting

  • Experience with cross-team project management and Scrum / Agile practices

  • Experience translating customer and market requirements into actionable backlog that an engineering team can execute

  • Experience with technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Outpatient or Professional coding industry experience

Travel:  Travel may be required, up to 25%

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location:  Any HIS location preferred and may consider a remote U.S. work location

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
