Warehouse Material Handler

YOUR ROLE Job Summary: Assist in the management and record keeping of incoming shipments, outgoing shipments, and inventory in the warehouse as well as on the manufacturing floor. Assists with other needs as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Receiving:


  • Physically receive in goods.
  • Systemically receive in goods.
  • Deliver goods to appropriate location.
Warehouse:


  • Cycle count inventory.
  • Keep the warehouse in an orderly and organized fashion.
  • Ensure materials are utilized in a FIFO manner.
  • Maintain the inter-company courier service area.
Shipping:


  • Assist in packaging shipments as necessary.
  • Support domestic and international truck or small parcel shipments by performing all systematic transactions necessary.
  • Load trucks and containers when required.
  • Assist in coordinating courier services for both pickup and deliveries.
Other duties:


  • Inform supervisors of all inventory discrepancies and any matters effecting the efficient operation of the warehouse.
  • Show results of continuous improvement in the processes you are involved with as well as personally.

YOUR SKILLS

  • 2-5 years experience in receiving, inspection, location control on inventory, cycle counting and supporting production needs and 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training.
  • Minimum 1 year use of automated UPS system or use of comparable system.
  • SAP knowledge preferred
  • Prior experience in filling out domestic/international shipping papers (bill of lading, international commercial invoices).
  • Minimum 1 year forklift experience. Must be forklift certified or ability to become certified.
