The Lead Culling Operator is responsible for working on multiple manufacturing projects as required by a supervisor and as specified on a work order and is trained and certified to perform at least one of the following functions:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
High efficiency and throughput are maintained in the Culling department,
customer orders are pulled from inventory by using the database and customer specifications.
Quality levels attained after each culling step are closely monitored and maintained to ensure wafers meet the high standard of both cleanliness and meet proper specifications.
Quality documents are followed and enforced according to our Quality Policy, pertaining to all aspects of fulfilling customer orders.
All culling operators/operations follow established written procedures.
Data is accurately recorded and entered into the database in a timely manner.
Performs detailed inspections from SICA images, analysis defects
on the surface and in the substrate and assigns qualitative results of wafers inspected.
Effectively works with managers, consultants, and internal resources to solve problems.
Maintains schedules and documentation for customer orders and samples. Coordinates daily shipment schedule with Production Planner, and Site Manager.
Identifies ways to improve culling process efficiency, productivity, and quality, working closely with Process Engineering.
Keeps daily track of the status of customer shipments in all stages of fulfillment, from order placed to order shipped.
Create Dispositions for customer shipments
Work with NJ personnel for wafer selection with small customers or one-time orders.
Ensure culling operators are processing orders per shipping schedule
Works in conjunction with supervisors to suggest overtime if needed
to maintain shipments on time.
Maintains clean and organized work areas
Lead by example to meet 100% On Time Delivery.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 2-3 years of production experience in semiconductor processing
1-2 years of Culling Level 1 experience
Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others.
Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities.
Experience with problem analysis and resolution
Experience with precision measurement methods and systems
Ability to read and understand customer specifications and process procedures
Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures closely while offering suggestions for continuous improvement
Experience with networked PC based computer system (spreadsheets, Email, MRP systems)
Skills
Broad, practical knowledge of semiconductor wafer fabrication and hands-on experience in the cleanroom operations, culling activities, and operation of manual wafer movers, and wafer sorter machines.
Well-honed observational skills that enable the rapid identification of operating problems/abnormalities
Ability to train new or inexperienced operators or technicians to operate culling equipment and culling processes.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams
Knowledge of and ability to work effectively with the internal database system, SICA machines, and systems to inspect and analyze wafers for defects.
Ability to work in a cross-cultural, team-based environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Handle special assignments promptly and professionally
Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, and competency
Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.
Safety Requirements
