Project Manager- Engineering and Construction Standards at Crown Castle

Job Description:

Essential Job Functions



  • Drive and manage assigned projects start to finish on time utilizing the industry standard project management methodology (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Closure).

    • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of all 5 project management phases.

    • Create a coherent and cohesive project schedule.

    • Develop measures of success to ensure delivery of business value.

    • Lead discussions with vendors, teams, peers and managers as necessary.

    • Create a communication plan including project status and business impacts with customers and interested parties.

    • Track risks, actions, issues and decisions utilizing a RAID log or other method chosen for tracking.

    • Deliver projects on time and within budget.

    • Ensure that forecast and actual dates are maintained in a timely manner.



  • Apply critical thinking across all PM phases.

  • Develop, document and maintain programs/projects.

  • Facilitate and draft standards as necessary for industry compliance minimizing business impacts.

  • Provide customer project management consultation services.

    • Share best practices and templates.

    • Assist teams through PM methodology.



  • Recognize opportunities for efficiency gains and innovation within the business offering solutions through business proposals, influencing, promoting the PM methodology as necessary.

  • Develop and provide training as SME of project/program when needed.

Education/Certifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related fields

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred

 


Experience/Minimum Requirements



  • 5+ years’ experience project management experience in wireless/

  • 2+ years’ project management experience in engineering or construction preferred

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs and applications

  • Ability to direct the diagnosis of workflow problems, critical paths and institute remedies

  • Ability to read and understand data driven metrics and identify remedies to drive solutions

  • Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to communicate across multiple service groups to both internal and external customers at all levels

Working Conditions:  Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.  We offer a hybrid working model with 3 days in local office and up to 2 days working remotely each week.
