Job Description

Lead strategic planning for the global Apparel business, supporting the plans of the KCP PPE business teams and the regional business teams by providing long-term strategic capacity and materials planning.

Position Purpose:

  • Lead strategic planning for the global Apparel business, supporting the plans of the KCP PPE business teams and the regional business teams by providing long-term strategic capacity and materials planning.

Scope:


  • The focus of this position is to lead and manage the global supply chain planning processes across all KCP Apparel products. 

  • The role provides strategic planning support for capacity, materials, inventory, and customer service, and engages directly with the regions to support regional supply planning processes and aid their S&OP/S&OE processes

Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 7 -9 years of experience

  • Must have a planning background defined by 3-5 years of experience

  • Experience with KCP Internal Manufacturing Assets and capabilities

  • Experience working with external contract manufacturers (ECMs)

  • Effectively organize, plan, control and communicate production and materials plans with headquarters and mill units

  • Lean capability/background

  • Experience with SAP R3, BW and Advanced Planning Tool(s) – preferably SAP APO

  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel

  • APICS certification preferred

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Lead monthly global supply review for Apparel business

  • Lead the global strategic planning process for Apparel, through timely and accurate development of supply/capacity plans (0 – 24 months) for ECM Apparel vendors and associated manufacturing and operations.

  • Work with regional teams to ensure connectivity with regional supply plans and tie to overall global supply.

  • Participate in KCP global S&OP process and in PPE regional S&OP processes.

  • Maintain global demand-supply balance for next 24 months and work with regions and business leaders to allocate supply where needed based upon established prioritization rule sets and regulatory considerations

  • Prepare 5 year global mass balance for capital planning and business planning in support of KCP Apparel business in the regions.

  • Oversee and ensure capacity optimization of long term (2-5 years) and collaborate with regions to ensure capacity optimization of mid-term (3-18 months) plans to minimize total delivered costs and meet customer service and regulatory requirements. 

  • Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to senior KCP Global Leadership on supply chain initiatives across multiple regions including capacity consolidation, investment and optimization plans, and global base sheet and converting balances

  • Utilize KC Global systems (BW, APO and R/3), identify gaps, and work with necessary stakeholders to develop solutions.

  • Provide key consulting support for global statistically managed inventory process (SMI) and activities required to deliver annual year on year inventory reductions.   Ensure capacity and SNP processes support the enterprise working capital objectives

  • Participate as Planning consultant resource on KCP’s end to end value stream initiatives for Apparel.

  • Deliver business metrics (customer service, working capital, distribution expense, and cost savings).  Align work in support of the annual goals established for each.

  • Be an influential leader with KCP Product Supply and functional resources toward driving best practice and standardized Global capacity planning processes

  • Collaborate appropriately and effectively with all customers by conducting all communications and connections with the utmost integrity and honesty in delivering business results

  • Act as de-facto global demand coordinator to ensure accurate global demand rollups
