Overview

The Maintenance Technician at Cook Winston-Salem will perform general and preventative maintenance work on both production equipment as well as the building and facility equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance in all facilities, which includes but is not limited to the following:
- Building automation system
- Plumbing repair
- Carpentry
- Electrical and communications equipment
- Building renovations
- Welding
- HVAC systems
• Perform preventative maintenance duties on various production equipment and facility equipment
• Assist in maintaining appropriate parts inventory

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Basic computer entry/retrieval skills
• Ability to read/write/understand work orders, work charts, blueprints, and other maintenance/work orders
• Basic knowledge of welding, electrical work, plumbing work, carpentry and HVAC

• Minimum 1-year experience in general building maintenance and preventative maintenance
• Ability to safely operate a forklift

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to frequently lift, push and pull between 25-50 lbs

• Majority of day is spent in moving around plant facilities which involves walking, bending, stooping, climbing, stretching, pulling and pushing
• Protective gear is worn as needed.

Hours for this position are Monday - Thursday (2:00pm - 10:30pm); Friday (10:00am - 6:30pm)
