Schaeffler , a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Product Design Engineer for our Wooster, OH location. This role is responsible for the complete design of a product, within the given performance requirements within the E-Mobility group.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform the calculations and analysis necessary to ensure a design meets both internal and customer expectations
Complete FEA, tolerance stack-ups, VA/VE, design for manufacturability, and selection of special characteristics.
Create technical drawings, documenting or presenting analysis results, DFMEA and providing risk assessments
Work with cross functional teams including Development, Testing, Sales, Program Management and Production.
Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field
Applicable engineering & physics knowledge
Automotive engineering experience preferred
Superior communication ability (written & verbal)
Customer focused approach
Self-motivated & driven to achieve results
Continuous improvement approach
Assertive approach to solving problems
Ability to prioritize and make decisions
