Position Overview

This position is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of computer hardware, software, peripherals and data communication devices, as well as providing consummate technical support to ensure timely resolution to end user problems and requests. This senior technician position takes a lead role in administrative and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities


  • Remediation of identified security vulnerabilities, update firmware and software, and apply security patches

  • Design, maintain and improve endpoint engineering services, including: SCCM, InTune, and others

  • Devise and implement strategy to build, test, maintain and update the OS images/autopilot necessary to support End User Computing hardware

  • Assess current state of existing engineering technologies, propose improvements, and execute tasks needed to resolve

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to package deployments or client configurations

  • Document appropriate changes needed, impacted services and systems

  • Properly escalate service or product issues to appropriate vendor, manage vendor SLAs and support tickets

  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time, tackling both urgent technical issues and longer-term project deliverables

  • Participate in building a robust knowledge base, authoring content, maintaining existing content and promoting the use of self-service to employees

  • Manage AD group, user, and computer accounts, configure access permissions and rights, group policies

  • Assist with projects associated with end user computing

  • Assist in leading the software, hardware and application life cycle management process including research, customization, packaging, quality assurance, deployment preparation, regression testing and maintenance of end-user technology     

  • Resolve escalated technical support incidents from the Service Desk

  • Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience

  • Completes a variety of atypical assignments

  • Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments

  • Works with a limited degree of supervision

  • Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

  • Make recommendations to policies and procedures to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 3-5 years' relevant experience required

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune & SCCM required

  • Experience with Citrix preferred
