The Associate will join the Structural Interest Rate Risk (SIRR) projects team, which is responsible for the execution of initiatives designed to develop and improve the way JPM measures, monitors, and reports SIRR - the risk that the value of the firm's financials and balance sheet may move due to changes in the level of interest rates. This team is part of the JPM Treasury and Chief Investment Office (TCIO), which is responsible for managing the firm's liquidity risk, interest rate risk and other structural risks. TCIO also manages the firm's capital, balance sheet, liquidity, funding, rating agency relationships and insurance activities.
Examples of initiatives include sourcing more robust data for the risk calculation process, integration of new models and cash flow calculators built by Quantitative Research into the reporting framework, enhancing reporting granularity and enhancing system capabilities in order to calculate risk results under different economic environments.
This role includes a high degree of interaction with stakeholders within TCIO Strategy, Risk, Middle Office, Operations and Technology.
