The purpose of the Field Service Representative role in Elanco is to directly support Elanco sales and technical teams by working directly with our integrated poultry customers to create best in industry service.  The focus will be to provide technical assistance to production, hatchery and or feedmilling personnel in helping the solved agreed upon problems or opportunities.  This position reports to a district sales manager.

Responsibilities:

• Administer our vaccine portfolio and ensure success of programs


• Work with production personnel to troubleshoot performance and/or health challenges


• Assist with hatchery application training


• Sample collection and processing


• Completion of customer product demonstrations


• Assist in isolate collection for Autogenous Vaccines


• Conduct Health Tracking System necropsy and field posting sessions


• Monitor Elanco product application equipment


• Other responsibilities that are deemed critical to supporting Elanco’s poultry customers to create best in industry service and support for our product portfolio. 

In addition to the above responsibilities, it will be extremely important for this candidate to be able to effectively and proactively communicate and collaborate with our technical and sales account team members.  Candidates must have the ability to work independently on tasks yet work as a team to help solve problems for our customers. Ideal candidates will have the ability to proactively identify opportunities for Elanco to add value to our important customers to continually upgrade our ability to meet and exceed customer needs. 

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree


• Minimum of 7 years of experience in modern commercial poultry production


• Valid drivers license


• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Elanco does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Skills & Preferences:

• Ability to work with data related computer software including Excel, JMP and other Elanco data systems.


• This position will support broiler, turkey and layer operations


• Working understanding and background with integrated poultry systems including breeder, hatchery and grow-out operations. 


• Experience in administering poultry vaccines and working with application equipment. 


• Background in live poultry operations and ability to collect and process field diagnostic samples.

Additional Information:

• This position is field based.  Expect overnight travel


• Overnight travel will depend on location; expect 50-75 % overnight travel.
