JOB DESCRIPTION RH is seeking a Cushion Sewer who will operate machines to sew and match fabric cushions by performing the following duties.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate a sewing machine to sew cushions for outdoor upholstery product in a highly efficient and quality oriented manner
Place the correct spool of thread on the spindle and prepare the machine. Places correct bobbin in machine and prepares eye
Use pedal to control the sewing machine
Correctly position parts to be sewn under foot and sews them together
Read and follow instructions on the sew notes provided
Observe stitching to detect defects and notifies leader when defects are caused by the machine
Cut excess thread or material
Oil and cleans machine
Maintain equipment and work area in an orderly manner
OUR REQUIREMENTS
1+ years experience sewing cushions in an upholstery environment
Excellent communication with clients and colleagues
Ability to work independently
Team player with an enthusiastic outlook and creative mind
Ability to accept direction and constructive criticism
Effectively manage multiple projects and complete tasks in a timely manner
Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
Detail-oriented and uphold brand integrity

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
The employee frequently is required to talk or hear
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
