eviCore, a Cigna company is hiring a Senior Platform Administrator to assist in managing the Big Data Platform for the Enterprise Data Office. The platforms include Kafka, Azure and Hadoop. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organization with cutting edge technology!

In this role you will:

• Be responsible for business and product support for Kafka in LINUX environment. 




• Support,  build, triage and vendor problem management, performance monitoring and tuning.




• Resource and security management of Kafka cluster. 




• Additional responsibilities include leading and supporting tool design, metrics, process improvement, monitoring strategies, Knowledge transfer and internal documentation.




• You get to work with Azure services like PaaS, Linux VMs, Azure Data Factory, IR, ADLS Gen2 storage, DataBricks and Azure SQL Synapse.




• Managing and administering the overall Hadoop infrastructure.




• Takes care of the day-to-day running of Hadoop clusters




• Ensure that the Hadoop cluster is up and running all the time.




• Monitoring the cluster connectivity and performance.




• Resource and security management




• Troubleshooting application errors and ensuring that they do not occur again.

The qualified candidate will possess:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Systems Administrator or similar role




• HADOOP experience required




• Excellent communication skills




• Strong technical knowledge

• Experience in Kafka and Azure technology preferred but not required

This role can be a remote, work from home opportunity

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
