We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries. Our CARF accredited, post acute residential, vocational and outpatient programs are offered in the Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh regions of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Louisiana and Maryland.

Salary

$15.00 an hour - Increase based upon experience and education

Responsibilities

We are searching for a Full and Part Time Brain Injury Specialists to work in our residential programs. This position provides minimum to maximum assistance and/or supervision to promote our clients' success in daily living tasks, recreational activities and vocational pursuits. Responsibilities include overseeing and assisting with AM/PM routines as needed (including wake-up, showering, hygiene and breakfast, medications). Checking nightly that all necessary medications have been taken and logged and makes necessary phone calls if any problems are found. Checking client rooms/apartments according to individual program guidelines throughout the evening which may include bathroom wakeups, monitoring sleep patterns and any behavioral issues.

We welcome dedicated and motivated candidates in the areas of psychology, behavior analysis, social work, sociology, human & social services, nursing, pre-med, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, speech pathology, physical therapy and other related disciplines. Our pay scale takes into account a candidate's education and experience performing a similar position (i.e. direct care) and starts at $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

A high school diploma is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, insurance and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained. Competence in writing, planning, organization and documentation, as well as time management skills are required. The ability to communicate with families, professionals and co-workers is a must. The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills is essential.
