We are seeking a full-time Engineering Business Analyst 2 for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will gather, document, and effectively communicate user requirements for large to very large-size projects of high complexity for products across multiple strategic channels, with multiple disparate stakeholders. Serve as functional Product Owner, working with enterprise stakeholders to drive application/technology solutions and related business processes.
Essential Functions:
Manage user requirements for large to very large-size projects of high complexity for products across multiple strategic channels, with multiple disparate stakeholders.
Serve as the functional product owner, working with enterprise stakeholders to drive application/technology solutions and related business processes
Partner with enterprise stakeholders to determine strategic channels roadmap
Actively encourage collaboration and professionalism in a team environment with other Garmin associates to achieve goals
Actively implement continuous improvement on an enterprise-level for business processes and Engineering business analysis processes
Seen as the go-to subject matter expert for application/technology solution and related business processes within the enterprise.
Provides functional product ownership and leadership to ensure enterprise stakeholders requirements are met
Demonstrates broad understanding of Garmin’s business model including Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing
Collaborate directly with co-located and remote development team members and business clients
Collaborate with QA team to define test cases and assist with testing efforts
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field AND 2 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have solid experience as a BA over either mobile or web related projects
Demonstrates mastery of business analysis principles and methodologies and ability to apply and adapt them into requirements that meet business needs
Proven track record in successfully executing projects of any scale or complexity
Must demonstrate superior analytical skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into the application and operational requirements
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a cross-functional setting with business partners
Experience with product management and business development
Desired Qualifications:
Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or training
Experience with JIRA
Knowledge of human factors in UX design
