The Global IC COE (Intercompany Center of Expertise) is a function within Zimmer Biomet comprised of regional teams located in North America (Warsaw, IN and Bogota, Colombia), Europe (the Netherlands), and Asia Pacific (Singapore).

This position will focus on the North America region and is responsible for intercompany PIE (Profit in Inventory Elimination) activities including account reconciliations, data uploads, analysis of the intercompany flows and collaborating with in-country finance teams to resolve identified discrepancies.

The individual in this role will work with stakeholders across Zimmer Biomet’s finance team and will gain knowledge and experience on the company’s global supply chain and intercompany processes/flows.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze market intercompany PIE (Profit in Inventory Elimination) results and identify drivers of variances to forecasted PIE amounts

• Drive process efficiency, accuracy and value through the identification and implementation of new data and technology solutions

• Provide detailed explanations of the identified variances on the country close calls with regional and corporate finance

• Identify and escalate any required financial adjustments

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and uploads

• Respond to requests and inquiries from assigned regional markets, the Global COE team, regional finance and Corporate Accounting

Expected Areas of Competence

• Highly motivated, self-starter willing to meet strict deadlines and time constraints

• Demonstrates characteristics of high potential for future developmental opportunities (fast learner, inquisitive, proactive, etc.)

• Experience with inventory and intercompany transactions/accounting is preferred

• Ability to analyze large quantities of data; able to work with details and also explain the “big picture”

• Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills with proficient-to-advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, preferably including experience working with database software

Education/Experience Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance

• Possesses 3 or more years in a financial or accounting role

• Emphasis in inventory and intercompany accounting is preferred CPA and/or post-graduate degree in business or accounting is preferred

Travel Requirements

• Open to remote work arrangements anywhere in the US

• If working outside of the Warsaw IN area, up to 20% travel required
