Responsibilities

Saber Systems is seeking General and Operations Manager/ Leads (Journeyman) in support of Weapons Systems Integration Support Services (WSISS).

Program Overview: NAWCWD is the weapons systems integration and software support activity for several aircraft Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). The mission the program is to provide research, development, test, evaluation, systems integration, and programmatic support for weapons systems and associated tactical computer systems embedded within or carried on their aircraft, including related systems, support equipment, and interoperability initiatives. Working will include: Modification of aircraft components, technical support services (including full systems integration) to all NAWCWD aircraft IPTs and their associated aircraft weapons and support systems, and technical support services to other related and/or interfacing systems (including related test laboratories and equipment). This position is contingent upon contract award, expected in 2022.

Location: Individuals would be physically located in following work sites:

    China Lake, CA
  • Eglin AFB, FL

Essential job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manages engineering support to the various engineering, manufacturing and quality assurance departments during design, fabrication, and assembly of products. Performs complex analysis, design, and or assembly related to product design, manufacturing, software or engineering projects. Defines, interprets, and develops quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Investigates and analyzes unique or highly technical manufacturing and customer issues providing technical assistance in establishing procedures and methods. Reviews and evaluates complex in-process rejections and trends implementing corrective action as needed. Interfaces with customers, vendors, and all company departments to resolve technical and quality problems. Performs technical surveillance of a complex nature in the control of product, design concepts, software, and specification requirements. Provides leadership in the areas of producibility, manufacturing processing, equipment and process improvement, quality engineering, software quality, configuration management, and procurement quality engineering.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 3 or more years of experience and a BA/BS degree. Typically performs all functional duties independently.

This position requires that the candidate have and maintain an active Secret DoD security clearance

Desired Experience:

  • Knowledge of naval aircraft/weapons systems integration functions, weapons systems development, electronic warfare systems and/ or aircraft platform
