Job Title:
Truck Driver

Job Summary:
Operates truck with over four-ton capacity to pick up and deliver parts, materials, and finished products. Load and unload truck. Secure cargo for transit. Inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. This position is a full-time, temporary assignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Make all deliveries on time.


• Pick up materials from local vendors.


• Pack and load products onto trucks according to company's specifications.


• Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.


• Unload goods as per client specifications.


• Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs.


• Check for shortages and disclaimers, notations, etc.


• Assist Warehouse Manager with cleaning and maintenance of the warehouse, office and stockyard.


• Assist with receiving/unloading shipments to the warehouse.


• Maintains safety mindset in all duties performed, especially (but not limited to) driving, material handling and job site evaluation.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum 2 years of medium weight (stake body, 18' bed) truck experience required. Must be able to follow directions, and communicate with team members and customers effectively. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Must possess valid driver's license and meet MVR requirements to operate company vehicle.
