Job Summary


The Physician Assistant provides direct and indirect clinical care to patients including physical assessments, diagnosis and treatment plan education, interpreting laboratory and test results, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures - within their scope of practice and as approved by Medical Staff Affairs


Job Responsibilities



  • Patient Care including but not limited to - providing initial patient assessment, obtaining history and review of systems. Reviewing medications and allergies. Ordering/interpreting labs and diagnostic studies.

  • Documenting in the EMR. Developing a treatment plan. Assisting with minor procedures.

  • May include inpatient care including operating as a front line clinician, caring for, admitting and discharging patients, writing orders, rounding and doing occasional consults.

  • Academic responsibilities including but not limited to teaching and supervising, attending professional conferences, maintaining certifications.

  • Participation in clinical research.



Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations


Licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; NJ if applicable. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Required Education and Experience


Required Education: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.


Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic


Preferred Experience: Clinical and intraoperative pediatric experience highly preferred.


Additional Technical Requirements



  • Must have critical analysis and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to work collaboratively through consultation with other health care team providers.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
