Job Description:

Role: Content Engineer/Technical Writer 

Cognizant is looking for a Content Engineer/Technical Writer in developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative environment.  Someone that values the ?team? and leverages the opinions and expertise of their teammates to deliver quality.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Deliverables:

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing with technical writing being your primary job function.


• Bachelor?s degree in technical writing, journalism, communications, or related field.


• Aptitude for understanding software products, enterprise content management lifecycle, and content driven experience design.


• Experience with researching and gathering relevant technical data from subject matter experts such as engineers, business team personnel, software developers, and programmers as well as from internal documents such as word docs, wiki pages, and design documents.


• Experience using the following applications: Adobe FrameMaker, Visual Studio Code / Notepad ++ (or similar editors), HTML, Markdown.


• In-depth knowledge of standards and best practices for creating or writing technical documentation.


• In-depth knowledge of standards and best practices around designing and creating component based content models.


• Possess excellent interpersonal and general business communication skills.


• Experience working independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
