Saber Systems is seeking Engineers (Senior) in support of Weapons Systems Integration Support Services (WSISS).

Program Overview: NAWCWD is the weapons systems integration and software support activity for several aircraft Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). The mission the program is to provide research, development, test, evaluation, systems integration, and programmatic support for weapons systems and associated tactical computer systems embedded within or carried on their aircraft, including related systems, support equipment, and interoperability initiatives. Working will include: Modification of aircraft components, technical support services (including full systems integration) to all NAWCWD aircraft IPTs and their associated aircraft weapons and support systems, and technical support services to other related and/or interfacing systems (including related test laboratories and equipment). This position is contingent upon contract award, expected in 2022.

Location: Individuals would be physically located in following work sites:

    China Lake, CA
  • Point Mugu, CA

  • Arlington, VA

  • Eglin AFB, FL

  • Sabre Systems office (TBD)

Essential job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Serves as an engineering consultant and technical expert on mission-critical infrastructure, systems, and equipment. Applies professional knowledge of scientific and engineering concepts. principals, phenomena and relationships to: assess specific requirements, delineate appropriately engineered designs, and develop preliminary and final design plans, engineering specifications, cost estimates and procurement packages in support of the operation, preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical. electrical, plumbing, utility and mission critical systems and equipment. Specifies functional requirements, designs and tests components, analyzes designs, and integrates components. Evaluates overall design effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Designs, analyzes, configures, tests and troubleshoots systems, as well as providing project engineering/program management support, development and evaluation support and/or engineering/life cycle support of a complex nature in a narrow area of specification. Conducts surveys and investigations at project sites to secure necessary data prior to initiating design work.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Over 10 years of experience and a MA/MS degree. Works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job

This position requires that the candidate have and maintain an active Secret DoD security clearance

Desired Experience:

  • Knowledge of naval aircraft/weapons systems integration functions, weapons systems development, electronic warfare systems and/ or aircraft platform
