The Associate Director of Alumni and Constituent Engagement is responsible for the management and implementation of programs and projects at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine's Alumni's Affairs department that are valued by alumni and friends, build enduring and mutually beneficial relationships, inspire loyalty and financial support, strengthen the institution's reputation, and involve alumni and friends in meaningful activities to benefit students and advance the Temple University mission.

Reporting to the Director of Alumni and Constituent engagement, the Associate Director will work collaboratively with members of the Temple Health Institutional Advancement team and Lewis Katz School of Medicine departments to define, develop, implement and maintain strategic engagement initiatives and programs with the goals of increasing alumni engagement, delivering benefit to alumni and school communities, and working in close partnership with frontline fundraising staff to ignite the spirit of alumni giving; serves as a leading team player in designing and implementing all facets of strategic alumni engagement activities including the design, enhancement and execution of alumni events (Homecoming, Regional Receptions, Student engagement events, Board meetings, Reunion Weekend, etc.).; broadens the scope and increase the quality and diversity of programs, services, benefits and activities for alumni; provides meaningful opportunities for alumni of all class years, life cycle stages, and interests to engage with the Lewis Katz School of Medicine; supports high-quality engagement, volunteer, networking and professional development activities and events for a range of Temple Med alumni audiences and constituencies; strategically engages and educates students and young alumni about alumni benefits and programming; collaborates with the Student Affairs Office to create high-impact engagement opportunities between students and alumni; manages the alumni communications calendar, in coordination with the associate director of communications and marketing; designs and deploys alumni communications, including web content and web-based communications, print and digital communications, developing and event communications and content for communications such as the alumni e-newsletter; creates timelines and project management schedules for events, communications and programming,track progressandanalyze/report on results; manages and maintains constituent records; develops programs to build awareness and affinity among current students so they stay connected and involved after graduation. This includes programs that focus on building student-alumni connections; supports the Medical Alumni Association Board including the planning and implementation of their three Board meetings per year, develop and steward relationships with alumni to assist with recruitment of volunteer leaders; develops and maintains relationships with faculty and staff across Temple's campus along with internal and external stakeholders to support the programs and initiatives of alumni relations; manages event registration and support and executes outreach efforts to reach event goals. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in alumni relations, event planning, communications and marketing, volunteer management or fundraising preferably in higher education or a related field.

Required Skills and Abilities:

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills,

*Experience with Microsoft 365, CRM databases, Adobe CS, track record of creating compelling content for utilization across multiple channels, and familiarity with social media, digital marketing platforms and analytics tools.

*The ability to work pro-actively, creatively, analytically, and strategically.

*Exceptional interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals both inside and outside of the university.

*The ability to work evening and weekend hours, as needed.
