Position Summary:

Carestream Health is growing! We are interviewing to hire an Electrical / PLC Engineer at our Lake Avenue facility. This position supports the Rochester Film Finishing area with electrical / PLC design, troubleshooting and repair. The successful candidate will have experience with relay and programmable logic control systems and an understanding of how to implement both DC and AC signals in the control system. The candidate should be comfortable with programming and have in depth knowledge of PLC systems with the ability to work on or teach others.

Required Skills & Education:

* B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

* Specify controls, motors, and wire sizing/protections for electromechanical equipment.

* Produce detailed schematic drawings for controls and wiring of equipment.

* Design and implement PLC controls for custom equipment.

* Troubleshoot electrical/PLC problems and assist/lead recovery plan.

* Provide ownership for all electrical /PLC processes in manufacturing facility

* PLC hardware and programming (Rockwell,Modicon)

* RF Generation: Troubleshoot, repair and upgrade

* Barcode and labeling systems: Lazerdate, SICK and Keyence

* Document and edit programable logic controllers, HMI, sensors and Variable frequency drives for related machinery. (Siemens, Reliance, ABB, and Allen Bradley)

* Must understand Radio Frequency technology, encoders, ultrasonic, transducers, and analog measuring devices.

* Coordinate activities with plant maintenance, systems, utilities, production and outside contractors.

Desired Skills:

* Minimum 5 years of general mechanical, electrical / plc experience

* Minimum 3 years of specific electrical design experience

* Superior knowledge of and familiarity with PLC systems

* Experience in sheet film / web conveyance is advantageous.
