The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients and families through effective use of the nursing process. This position exercises independent judgment to assess patient needs and assign significant overall patient care duties to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and certified nurse aides (CNAs) or perform them his or herself as appropriate to the patient needs. This position supervises LPNs, CNAs, and Unit Secretaries; and works collaboratively with the Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, Administration, Support Services, and Ancillary Services personnel to provide safe, quality nursing care.

License/Certifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine. BCLS certification. All ICU, ER and Perioperative Services registered nurses must be ACLS certified.
