Duties and Responsibilities
Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Digital Communication Specialist manages the School of Law's website and digital marketing efforts. You will work with teams from across the law school, including marketing, administration, faculty, and staff to ensure website content is accurate, timely, and follows Loyola brand standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Serve as lead website administrator for the School of Law. Liaison with University Marketing Communication web team and ITS to manage use of CMS system (Terminal 4) and other University web-based systems (blog platform, e-mail marketing service, etc.).
* Implement web content, technology, and design standards as developed by the Law School administration. Ensure web content is SEO friendly.
* Provide day-to-day support for department web contributors. Develop and provide ongoing training to web contributors.
* Respond in a timely manner to support requests and resolve technical issues.
* Monitor and report on the effectiveness of website content and digital media tactics. Monitor trends across channels and make recommendations for new tactics and solutions.
* Proactively recommend and implement website improvements.
* Collaborate with administration and other departments to conceptualize high-quality digital materials (web stories, web content, social media posts).
* Manage web form system (Formstack). Evaluate new systems for compatibility/effectiveness with existing systems.
* Develop, create, and edit a range of high-quality digital media projects (photos using Photoshop, graphic design, messaging for social media, and other creative projects as assigned).
* Build and maintain a strong understanding of the School of Law to provide guidance and support to departments and divisions.
* Perform other duties, tasks, and assignments as assigned.


Minimum Education and/or Work Experience * Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field.
* 3+ years experience
* Experience using and managing a content management system (CMS)
Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field.
* Experience using and managing a content management system (CMS)
* Demonstrated success in communicating technical information to non-technical clients through excellent verbal and written communication.
Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in managing a content management system (CMS) for a department or organization.
* Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and emerging technologies. Strong comfort level using and training others in a web content management system.
* Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
* Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
* Demonstrated ability to seek proactively needed information from all available resources to solve problems.
* Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate with individuals and multiple departments.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and work both effectively and calmly under pressure.
* Self-starter with proven ability to work proactively and independently.
* Experience using Adobe Photoshop a big plus; InDesign and Illustrator experience a plus.
