What you will do

PennBarry, a Business Unit of Johnson Controls, is a leading manufacturer of full-service ventilation products for commercial and light industrial applications, including commercial and industrial fans.

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth of the product rep channel within the region. You are expected to achieve sales goals and quotas for region.

How will you do it


  • Sales calls and presentations to existing and potential clients within territory to develop and maintain relationships with leading product reps in priority markets.

  • Actively recruit new reps who are well positioned to support PennBarry growth.

  • Provide educational training and support to reps informing them of new products, selection tool improvements, and other industry-specific developments. 

  • Assist rep salesforce in preparing pricing quotes and bids for large construction projects within each respective market place.

  • Understand PennBarry plant manufacturing operations to maximize plant, brand and customer objectives within the sales and construction environment.

  • Define priority markets to target for growth based on market size for fans, market characteristics (e.g. mechanical vs. sheet metal market), competitor landscape, etc.

  • Determine readiness of current reps in market to support PennBarry’s growth and formulate plans to improve channel readiness.

  • Ensure product representative salesforce is provided with the necessary tools and equipment to make presentations and cost quotes for each project bid.

  • Lead the resolution of rep issues by coordinating across applications engineering, customer service and factory teams.

What we look for

Required


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Marketing or related field.

  • 3-5+ years of successful outside sales experience in the Air Distribution industry.

  • Commercial fan sales experience with existing product rep relationships.

  • Analytical – able to solve problems using data.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Clear verbal and written communication.

  • Quality Management - look for ways to improve and promote quality; demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.

Preferred


  • Experience in an Application Engineering role.

  • Fan Industry experience.
