Capture economics of new projects and commercial transactions within the Vitol system of record for Exposure tracking and PNL reconciliation

Build custom analytical models and utilize industry standard techniques to conduct autonomously due diligence, identify investment opportunities, and measure risks in the Renewable Energy markets
Ability to work under pressure to decisively resolve real-time issues
Communicate and set expectations with Traders, Operators, and Management
Build strong working relationships with other internal departments to support full life cycle of transaction from trade execution to settlement
Assist with various administrating requirements for new and existing asset projects including filing requirements and document assembly
Maintain and enhance existing analytical tools fundamental to the Company’s investment strategies and trading scenarios
Design process improvements and streamline routine procedures

1-2 years of Energy experience in financial modelling for Mergers/Acquisitions, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Transaction Advisory, or similar Finance roles
Deal structuring and asset valuation utilizing financial statements to perform DCFs, NPVs, market comparisons, etc.
Understanding of Energy markets specifically Power, Natural Gas, and Renewables
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA is required
Programming ability in Python, R, or other languages are a plus
Analytical understanding and support
o Power, Natural Gas, and Renewables fundamentals (Research, Analysis & Support) – generation, load, weather, fuels, transmission, gas flows, pipeline outages, etc.
§ Ability to build and maintain daily, weekly and monthly analysis reports for the Traders, Risk, and Management
§ Ability to build and maintain tools that capture, analyze and display time-sensitive data to traders and effectively work with IT resources to accomplish needs
